Budget Documents
The Executive Budget Document is completed annually and presented to the Alabama Legislature in accordance with The Budget Management Act, codified in Section 41-19-1 et. seq., Code of Alabama 1975, and the following:
Section 123 of the Alabama Constitution of 1901, which states:
“The governor … shall account to the legislature, as may be prescribed by law, for all moneys received and paid out by him or by his order; and at the commencement of each regular session he shall present to the legislature estimates of the amount of money required to be raised by taxation for all purposes.”
